Lindsay Kiriakos, MD

Brief Biography

From an early age, Lindsay Kiriakos MD always dreamt of becoming a psychiatrist. This was in large part inspired by his family members, many of whom are active in the field.

Following his four years at Stanford University, where he earned not one but two degrees, he went on to medical school at the esteemed University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, he completed his Psychiatry Residency at the equally excellent Semel Neuropsychiatric Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Today, Dr. Kiriakos proudly works as a psychiatrist with a private practice based out of his native Los Angeles. In June 2022, Dr. Kiriakos will have served as a licensed physician for more than 20 years. His specialty is treating adults - particularly males - coping with a wide range of anxiety disorders. He is passionate about the use and effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a treatment long proven to assist with issues like generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety, and performance anxiety. He also utilizes Assertiveness Training to help patients maximize their effectiveness in their relationships at work and home.

The career achievement Dr. Kiriakos is most proud of is the evaluation and treatment of well over 2,000 patients with various anxiety disorders. He is also proud to have provided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Assertiveness Training to over 1,000 patients in one-on-one treatment. Dr. Kiriakos has dedicated himself to creating resources people can really benefit from, having published psycho-educational websites like AnxietyMD.comSocialAnxietyWebsite.com, and AnxietyQuest.com as well as the book Panic Disorder: How to Fight Back and Win.

When he's not hard at work, Lindsay Kiriakos enjoys relaxing with his wife and children, reading history, and playing chess. Dr. Kiriakos also fosters and rescues dogs via the Animal Advocates Alliance. Additionally, Dr. Kiriakos serves as a Disaster Healthcare Volunteer at the Medical Reserve Corp of Los Angeles.
